Where the data goes

Each report is written at the tab and cell you choose. The headers, or the first row of figures, start at that cell.

Choose the tab and cell

  1. In the report builder, open Options.
  2. Under Store in sheet, choose a tab. To make a new one, choose New tab… and enter its Tab name.
  3. Under Cell, enter the top-left cell, such as A1. To use the cell selected in your sheet, select the target button next to Store in sheet.
  4. Keep Include headers ticked to write the column names in the first row.

When a report refreshes

A report clears the cells it wrote last time, while no other report has written over them, then writes the new figures in their place. It never changes cells outside its own block, so your notes and formulas next to it stay.

Reports that overlap

If a report is written over cells another report holds, the newer write covers them. The older report forgets where it was, so it no longer clears those cells first, but its next refresh writes at its own cell again and can cover the newer report. Give each report its own space, on its own tab or far enough apart.

How cells are formatted

Numbers are written as numbers and days as dates, so you can chart and sum them. Money uses each account's currency, and rates such as click-through rate are percentages.
